Museu Nacional da Cultura Afro Brasileiro (MUNCAB) located in Salvador, Brazil has been closed for most of the pandemic and is at risk of closing its doors forever. The current Brazilian administration defunded many art and cultural institutions throughout the country, leaving them without the resources they need to maintain themselves.
This campaign, Welcome back to MUNCAB, friend!
celebrates the reopening of the museum and invites their extensive community of supporters to see new works of art that educates, celebrates, preserves and progresses Afro-Brazilian culture.
The handmade custom patterns were created to highlight MUNCAB’s four new principles (educate/ celebrate/preserve/progress).
